This is for authorized distributors. The purpose of this page is to enable you to place a secure order for your end-using customer.

On this page, you will enter everything required to fill the order and receive your sales commission, except for the end-using customer billing and shipping information. To enter customer information, proceed to checkout and provide the end-using customer billing and shipping information there.

To reiterate, when you checkout, provide the END-USING CUSTOMER INFORMATION. We will use your name and distributor number to associate this order with you as the distibutor. Therefore, what we need when you check out is the information for the CUSTOMER. Include the customer credit card information.

Note that the checkout function is also used for everyday customers who are not distributors, and therefore the checkout procedure asks for a required email address as part of the customer contact information. Please enter your own email address in that field, so you will be kept updated on the status of your order.

Checking out using this process will NOT perform any actual billing, so the total charges when you check out will be shown as zero. This process will only provide secure billing and order information to Landel. Once this information is received, Landel will:

  • create an account for the end-using customer using the information provided during checkout
  • use that account to bill the end-user directly for the MailBug device and associated email service
  • use that account to maintain the service as needed
  • ship the unit pre-configured and ready to plug in and use, directly to the end-using customer's shipping address
  • remit your sales commission to you

Landel reserves the right to reverse and/or withhold sales commissions if return rates for a distributor are abnormally high when compared to those of other distributors and Landel direct sales.

 

Instructions for filling out this page:

Distributor Number

Enter your distributor number (provided by Landel).

 

Name for Distributor Commission Check (First and Last)

Enter the name you want the payee to be on the distributor sales commission check.

 

Amount of the Sales Commission

Select the amount of the commission, which may vary but which will not be less than $25.

 

Address to Remit Distributor Commission

Enter the address to which Landel should remit your sales commission.

 

Does Customer Need a MailBug Device?

Generally, a customer orders both a new MailBug device and the associated monthly, quarterly, or annual email service. This is the preferred process because it is easiest for the customer. If you have ordered MailBug devices in bulk from Landel, however, you might be providing the MailBug device yourself. In those cases, you may want to order the associated email service only, because you already have a MailBug device to provide to the customer. (In those instances, we can provide instructions on how you can configure the MailBug.)

Note that this page uses the standard price of $125 for a MailBug device, when a MailBug device is needed.

There may be discounts available, and if so you will be able to discount the standard price by entering the coupon code "distributor" during the checkout process. If there are discounts shown on the website at landel.com, then the "distributor" coupon code will match the best discount available. From time to time, Landel may make the distributor coupon code available, even though no discounts are available to the general public. This is often the case. When in doubt, enter the coupon code "distributor" to get the best available discount currently offered at any given time. If no discounts are available at the time, the code will be shown as unavailable.

 

Requested Customer Email Address and the Alternate Customer Email Address

Enter the email address the customer wants to use with the new email service. Include the domain name, if a specific domain is requested. If the domain is invalid or not included, the mailbug.com domain will be used as default. Enter the alternate in case the requested address is unavailable.

 

Email PW

If a customer wishes to use a specific password, enter it here. This is optional. The customer only needs to know the password if access to email through more than one device is desired. If just planning to use the MailBug, the customer will not need to know the password. If blank, the password will be randomly generated. In either case, the password will be programmed into the MailBug prior to shipping.

 

Customer Email Service Requested

Enter the email service requested by the customer, monthly, quarterly, or annual. Annual is the best option because it bills for only 11 months and provides the 12th month free.

 

Phone Number at the Location Where MailBug Will Be Used

MailBug uses simple standard phone lines to connect. The number where the MailBug will actually be used is therefore important. It helps to identify which of the local connect numbers should be used.

 

Prefix

Is a prefix required when MailBug attempts to make a call to connect from the customer's location? This is not generally the case, but when the customer resides in an assisted living or other facility, or in the case of small business customer, a "9" or other prefix may be required in order to gain access to an outside line. If such a prefix is required, enter it here. If none is required, leave this field blank.

 

Local vs Toll Free Access

Landel maintains over 20,000 local connect numbers in the US and Canada. If a local connect number is available for your customer, choose Local Access.

When no connect number is found, MailBug can still connect from anywhere in the US or Canada using a toll-free number, for which there is a small surcharge. If this is the case for your customer, choose the toll-free option that matches the email service selection, monthly, quarterly, or annual.

If you choose "Local Access" and we find that to be incorrect, we will contact you prior to filling the order to ensure there are no surprises for either you or your customer.

Configure and Ship to End User

Landel will configure the MailBug so that it is ready to plug in and use when it arrives at the customer's location. Shipping is ground UPS.

Enter whatever specific comments or needs you might have regarding this order.

 

Attest

You are placing this order on your customer's behalf and you are providing your customer's billing information, so you must attest that you have the customer's permission to do so. If a customer contacts Landel saying that an order was placed without permission, Landel will reverse the end-using customer's charges and seek cost recovery from the distributor.
